The Yacht house draws upon the architectural precedents established on the museum campus, vernacular forms throughout the St. Lawrence River Valley.  Despite the size of the Yacht house, a sense of transparency is preserved throughout the building allowing visitors to feel a constant connection to the river while viewing the unique collection of antique boats.
